Having become well acquainted with Chef Karen Tipps' culinary skills after using her Personal Chef services, I expected the food to be incredible, but the attention to detail and care put into the preparation, presentation and service of the food would have done justice to an event for 200 people, not the 20 we were expecting! And what people commented on most after the party was not the wonderful food (although it was - the Beef Wellingtons were mouth-watering!), but Karen and her husband, Blake! "I was A stubborn do-it-yourself hostess until a friend introduced me to A Gourmet Touch. Now, instead of shopping, cooking and cleaning up I can spend time enjoying my parties. The food and the service are sublime. The recipes are imaginative without being fussy and the presentation is lovely. I've used A Gourmet Touch for parties ranging from 40 to 140 and I've been thrilled every time. They are prompt, efficient, reliable and cost effective. My boss asked me to plan an event for the following week for at least 50 people and gave me a budget. I was stressed! I ordered food from a well known restaurant thinking it would be the cheaper way to go. The day of the event I had to purchase a dessert, drinks, table clothes, napkins, silverware, etc., because it didn’t come with the meal. Not only was that annoying, but it was pricey. I had to pick up the food, set it up and stay afterwards to clean it up. It was very stressful and it wasn’t cheaper. 6 weeks later my boss decided to have another event. This time, I decided to call A Gourmet Touch. From the beginning, Karen and Stacey were my lifesavers. They told me to relax and let them handle the rest. The only part I had to do was pick out the menu from their wide variety of fantastic dishes. They were available for any menu changes, any questions and were flexible with my head count (I had head count changes up to the final hour). The night of the event I remember thinking, something is going to go wrong…this has been too easy. But, I was wrong. Karen and Stacey came to the event dressed professionally, assured me that everything was going to turn out great, set up the food, served our guests and cleaned up our mess. The food was phenomenal down to the last bite. “Compliments to the chef!” was the statement of the night!!! I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was cheaper than my first event. Since then I’ve had over 15 events, professional and personal, and A Gourmet Touch catered each of them. I will never attempt an event without them catering and assisting again. They have made my life so much easier. On a personal note…let me recommend the Lemon Bars!
